Barwa Bank names Thara’a savings account draw winners

BarwaBank has announced the names of the most recent round of draw winnersfor Thara’a, its Shariah-compliant savings account, in a ceremony heldrecently at the bank’s headquarters. Mohamed Omar Abdalkader andKhaldoun Nachawi each won a cash prize of QR10,000. The draw wasconducted under the supervision of a representative of the qualitativelicence and market control department at the Ministry of Economy andCommerce.A cash prize worth QR5,000 was awarded to the followingbank clients – Sara Jabor al-Kubaisi, Ziyad Mohamed Marouf, AbdulazizIbrahim al-Shaar, Nyla Abdul Rasheed, Yousif Belal al-Abdulla, SaedMubarak al-Hajri, Almayasa Mohd al-Anqar, Mohd Shbhi al-Anqar, BashaerAmeer al-Mulla, Noora Saleh al-Shahwani, Maha Mohamed Alqatouni, AyshaEssa al-Sulaiti, Fatema Saad al-MannaI, Turki Mansour al-Qahtani,Abdulaziz Abdo al-Amari, Catherine Amante Tan, Mona AbdalraazzakMardoum, Alfajer Mohamed al-Sayed, Hanan Nagi Alyafei, Essa Mubarakal-Kuwari and Daleen Munther Alkhatib.Thara’a offers account holdersthe chance to benefit from cash rewards up to QR1mn, a first forIslamic banks in Qatar. Based on several criteria, Thara’a accountholders are eligible for a number of periodic draws for cash prizes. TotallingQR3.3mn, Thara’a cash rewards are distributed on both a monthly andbiannual basis to customers holding a minimum balance of QR10,000.Ona monthly basis, there are 21 winners per draw for the cash prize ofQR5,000, as well as two winners per draw for the cash prize of QR10,000.Additionally, twice a year, there are two winners per draw for thecash prize of QR25,000, two winners per draw for the cash prize ofQR50,000, and one winner per draw for the grand prize of QR1mn,rewarding 194 winners in total with cash prizes up to QR3.3mn.Coupledwith cash prizes and a reward scheme, Thara’a is a product full ofvalue-added benefits and services.
