Qatar participated in Moscow Marathon in which 28,000 athletes from 70 countries took part.
The Qatari participation was highlighted by the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Qatar Sports Federation for all, as part of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture.
Qatar was represented by Faisal al-Qahtani and Abdulaziz al-Tamimi in the 42.2km-long marathon. A number of leading sports brands, medicine companies, charity foundations, athletes and people with disabilities participated in the event. Former Olympic champions also took part in the event.
Al-Qahtani and Al-Tamimi expressed their delight to participate in the event and represent the State of Qatar in such an important international event. (QNA)
