Iftar events at Hamad General Hospital

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)’s Social Services Department, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), has held Iftar events for patients and workers at Hamad General Hospital. Hayfa al-Hajri, acting executive director of HMC’s Department of Social Services, said volunteers from QRCS visited Hamad General Hospital on May 24 and distributed 150 Iftar meals to hospital workers who were on duty during that time. The QRCS team visited the hospital again on May 31, joined by a delegation from Deutsche Bank, and distributed an additional 150 Iftar meals to inpatients in the Orthopaedics, Trauma and Surgery wards, as well as to the attending nursing teams. “HMC, through co-operation with its key partners, is doing its utmost to serve the local community by supporting labourers and other employees and extending help to those in our community who are less fortunate. We wanted to bring the joy and spirit of Ramadan to our employees, and at the same time foster a culture of sharing among staff,” said al-Hajri.
