The country's beach areas, especially Mesaieed Sealine (pictured) and Dukhan, are experiencing severe littering these days on account of the large turnout of visitors celebrating the extended holidays. Though guidelines and instructions to properly maintain the beach areas are displayed prominently, many visitors continue dumping garbage, including food wastes, used soft drink cans, and carry bags in large numbers.This is happening despite adequate numbers of dust bins provided in different areas of the beaches. ,While there are groups that are taking utmost care in keeping the beaches clean during such visits, there are others who are simply dumping all wastes there,, said a Doha resident, who is a frequent visitor to Mesaieed Sealine areas.
