Sidra Medicine has announced that it has been accepted for membership into the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA). The association represents over 220 children's hospitals worldwide.

As champions for children’s health, CHA advances public policy enabling hospitals to better serve children and builds awareness on child health issues.
It is the premier resource for paediatric data and analytics that drive improved clinical and operational performance among its member hospitals.
Dr Abdulla al-Kaabi, chief medical officer at Sidra Medicine, said: “Sidra Medicine’s CHA membership will have a positive impact in the delivery of care for our young patients. It will give us an opportunity to benchmark against all member hospitals and interact with international thought leaders in the paediatric field.
"It will also allow us to participate in clinical, operational and organisational improvement programmes, access analytics and help us adopt new standards and guidelines that will further advance specialist healthcare services in Qatar.”
Representing more than 220 children’s hospitals, CHA advances child health through innovation in the quality, cost and delivery of care.
The association is considered the voice of children’s hospitals in the US.
Formed in 2011, CHA brings together the strengths and talents of three organisations: Child Health Corporation of America, National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions and National Association of Children’s Hospitals.
Mark Wietecha, CHA president and CEO, noted: “We are pleased to welcome Sidra Medicine and look forward to its active involvement. Our hospital members are the backbone of the pediatric healthcare infrastructure.
“With them, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and developing innovative solutions to impact the future of children’s health and healthcare.”
“I am proud that Sidra Medicine is well on its way to building a strong foundation of care for its patients through memberships with leading associations like the CHA.
“We look forward to working closely with our peers and the wider children’s hospital industry to advocate on behalf of all children and young people here in Qatar,” added Dr al-Kaabi.
