MoI announces arrest of gang targeting bank customers

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday announced the arrest of a gang of four African nationals, including a woman, who specialised in robbing clients of banks and exchange houses.

In a statement on Saturday, the MoI said the Criminal Investigation Department arrested the gang members who used to rob bank and exchange house customers after following them.

The stolen money was "seized and sealed", the statement noted, adding that the arrested persons had been referred to the competent authorities to complete legal proceedings against them.
