Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has lined up a series of entertainment shows at shopping malls across the country to mark Eid al-Adha.

The offerings form part of the Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) 2018, which aims to provide an array of family-friendly and fun-filled activities for residents and visitors in the country during this period.
Holiday-goers will have the chance to watch unique shows from the first day up to the fifth day of Eid at participating QSF malls: Mall of Qatar (MoQ), Lagoona Mall, Doha Festival City (DHFC), Al Mirqab Mall, Hyatt Plaza, B Square Mall, Gulf Mall, Dar Al Salam Mall, Al Khor Mall and Landmark Mall.
The Roaming Robots, Superheroes: Live Avengers Doubles, Peter Pan’s Adventure, Characters from Frozen, Qatar Traditional Dance, and Levitation Man are expected to attract a large number of spectators throughout the holidays.
According to QTA, malls will also present one-of-its-kind children’s shows and activities besides the rotating shows, such as MoQ’s “SpongeBob SquarePants Show” from 11am to 10pm and DHFC’s Ben 10 from 2pm to 9pm.
DHFC partnered with Cartoon Network to present Ben 10, one of the most adored cartoon characters. It aims to gather families and children under one roof during the holidays.
DHFC will also host the third and final draw of QSF on August 31, where QR350,000 cash prizes and a Lamborghini Huracan 2018 luxury super car are at stake.
Mall-goers can also visit Dar Al Salam Mall for the The Princess and the Beast and The Frozen Land shows, and Hyatt Plaza for the Robin Hood live stage show.
The Minions live show at Al Mirqab Mall and Sleeping Beauty at Lagoona Mall are expected to draw huge crowds due to their popularity.
Cultural shows such as the traditional Syrian Arda, and the Jordanian and Palestinian ‘Dabkeh’ dance performances will take centre stage at Al Khor Mall, providing people with a diverse range of entertainment offerings.
According to QTA, these special free entertainment and indoor shows throughout the summer season aim to energise the tourism sector through diversifying Qatar’s events calendar and tourist source markets.
Retailers at participating malls will also continue to offer huge discounts and special promotions until August 31, which gives mallgoers more time to shop and gather coupons for the grand draw.
QTA said that nearly 50 of Qatar’s five and four-star hotels are offering various packages and discounts on brunches, beach and pool access, accommodation and spa treatments until August 31, the last day of QSF.
