Qatar's handball team has reached the final of the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia after beating South Korea (27-20) in Monday's semi-final.
Qatar will play the final on Friday with the winner of the second semi-final, which was to be played between Japan and Bahrain later on Monday.
Qatar maintained the lead in the first half which ended in favour of Qatar with a difference of six goals, 13-7. The Koreans tried hard in the second half, but Qatar managed to hold on to the lead.
Qatar are keen to retain the gold medal won in the previous edition of the Asian Games, held in Incheon, South Korea, when they beat the hosts 24-21.
Qatar reached the semi-finals of the Jakarta games after leading Group A in the main round with three wins - Iraq 26-20, Saudi Arabia 28-23 and Japan 24-17. 
The Asian Games in Indonesia continue until September 2.
