Qatar Post has been recognised for its quality performance and awarded three ISO certifications in the categories of quality, environment and health and safety management by the UK’s accreditation body Bureau Veritas.
The international accreditations were granted for Qatar Post’s integrated management system, which included three ISO certifications in Quality Management System ISO9001, Environmental Management System ISO14001, and Health, and Safety Management System ISO OHSAS 18001 Assessment Series, according to a statement issued by Qatar Post.
The certificates have been awarded following a comprehensive and extensive external audit that demonstrated the compliance of Qatar Post to these three systems with recognised standards globally in accordance to the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
Faleh Mohammed al-Naemi, chairman and managing director, Qatar Post, hailed the ISO certification as a great achievement stating that Qatar Post has invested heavily over the past years to improve the quality of its operations and customer services. “We are pleased with the outcome of the comprehensive audit and accreditation process applied to our administration systems to measure our capacity in providing basic Postal services, financial services, e-commerce, and e-government,” he added.
The accreditation covers various areas of postal operations including quality, health, safety, environment, sales, marketing, transformation, strategy management, human resources, finance, Security, IT, procurement, processing,
delivery, and ports.
