The ceremony was attended by Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) chairperson Munira bint Nasser al-Misnad, CEO and acting executive director Amal bint Abdulatif al-Mannai, a number of other dignitaries, and the parents of graduates.
Amal al-Mannai pointed out that Shafallah Centre is always working to develop its services and support in line with the most sophisticated trends in the field globally through highly trained and qualified specialists. The department for occupational training helps the students to integrate into the future work environment and find suitable jobs in the public or private sector.
Shafallah has already managed to get 118 of its graduate students hired by various entities in the country and helped them settle in their jobs. This includes 23 graduates of the new batch. Al-Mannai pointed out that the centre currently has 649 students. Shafallah is active in communicating with the parents of children with disabilities to educate them through various workshops and awareness forums.
Abdulaziz al-Muhannadi, a spokesman, pointed out that Shafallah enjoys immense support from the government and its services are provided for students from different nationalities. He pointed out that the relationship between students and the Centre goes beyond graduation as it continues to offer support for them throughout their professional life.
Dr Ayyish al-Qahtani, father of a graduate, expressed his immense satisfaction about the services of the Centre in integrating people with disabilities in the society by improving their skills, and helping them lead a better life. During the ceremony some of the graduates talked about their experiences and their success in their new jobs . Al-Misnad and al-Mannai honoured the graduates and presented their certificates.
