ICC pays a tribute to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) recently paid a tribute to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi as part of his 150th birthday celebrations. ICC organised a Quiz Competition at ICC Ashoka Hall. Milan Arun, President of ICC, welcomed the audience. The Quiz Competition was divided into two rounds, written and oral. The teams to qualify the final round included, Yasmi Nazaruddeen and Asif Safeer, Team One, Vimal Prasad and Nandini Prasad, Team Two; Pravalika Manepalli and Kalyan Ronak, Team Three; and Manjusha Sreejith and Anugrah Krishna, Team Four. Vimal Prasad and Nandini Prasad won the first prize while Team Three and One bagged the runners up title. Special audience rounds were also organised for maximum participation. All team members were appreciated with the certificates of participation. The competition was conducted by Girish Jain, Head of Finance ICC, and led by A P Manikandan, Vishal Mehta, Jaffar Khan, K S Prasad, Nayna Wagh and Anjan Kumar Ganguli, Managing Committee of ICC, and supported by Deepal Shetty, Adviser of ICC. Jutas Paul, General Secretary ICC, proposed a vote of thanks. The event was attended by Indian community leaders, including Hassan Chougule, Chairman of Advisory Council ICC; K M Varghese, President of Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC); Kala Gopal, Vice President of IBPC; and Habibul Nabi, General Secretary of Indian Sports Centre.ICC is all set to organised another public event on October 2 at Ashoka Hall, Indian Cultural Centre. P Kumaran, Ambassador of India, will be the chief guest at the event. The event will feature various cultural programmes.
