Interior ministry signs pacts to develop security systems

The Security Systems Department of the Ministry of Interior signed a co-operation agreement with Milestone Systems, a global leader in security systems, specialised in the development of camera and integration systems.
The Ministry of Interior yesterday signed an agreement to exchange information, training, entry and exit procedures with its counterpart in Australia on the sidelines of Milipol Qatar 2018.Director General of Passports Major General Mohamed Ahmad al-Ateeq and Australian Regional Director for Middle East Affairs at the Australian Ministry of Interior Fiona Andrew signed the agreement.On the occasion, Major General Mohamed Ahmad al-Ateeq stressed the importance of this agreement to Qatar and Australia in the areas related to passport management, pointing out that when applied, it will have a positive impact on the mechanism of work between the two countries.He pointed out that this agreement has a training and development framework for human resources, and it unites the procedures between the two countries, as training courses and workshops will be organised which will benefit workers in the passports and immigration sector in both countries.For her part, Fiona Andrew explained that this agreement reflects the close relations and co-operation between the ministries of the interior in both countries.She praised the great development witnessed by Qatar, especially with regard to the passport and immigration sector and its reflection on the Australian side.She said that the agreement deals with the training and development of human resources and the adoption of international trainers to provide specialised courses for passport sector employees, which leads to the unification of procedures in both countries.The Security Systems Department of the Ministry of Interior signed a co-operation agreement with Milestone Systems, a global leader in security systems, specialised in the development of camera and integration systems.On this occasion, Lt Col Jassim al-Sayed, Director of Security Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior, head of the Technical Affairs Unit and member of Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, said that the agreement signed by the ministry, represented by the Security Systems Department, with Milestone Systems, is for training and development.The company will implement training courses on the programmes and systems that it develops and updates, which are part of interest to the Ministry of Interior in Qatar.He added that under the three-year agreement, Milestone will train security systems management personnel to plan and develop cameras’ conditions and locations, and their smart systems, as well as the development and updating of these systems, and what will happen in the future.The Director of Milestone Systems Middle East and Africa Christian Ringler said: “We are delighted to sign this agreement with the Ministry of Interior and hope this co-operation will continue to make the best use of camera systems to serve the security process”.
