Qatar, Nepal chambers review co-operation ties

Qatar Chamber discussed Wednesday the prospects of enhancing trade co-operation with a Nepalese delegation led by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Bhawani Rana. The two sides reviewed opportunities for co-operation in the agriculture, tourism, banking, and insurance sectors.
Qatar Chamber first vice-chairman Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari said the Chamber is ready to meet the objectives of Qatari business owners to identify investment opportunities in Nepal and to help Nepalese investors launch their business in the Qatari market.According to Rana, the industrial sector is one of the most promising economic sectors in Nepal, noting that there are many opportunities for foreign investors in her country, especially in the agriculture, tourism, industry, and infrastructure sectors.She expressed hope that the meeting will contribute to strengthening of co-operation ties between business owners from both the countries and to the increasing of Qatar-Nepal trade volume, which stood at QR15mn in 2017.
