The superstar stopped by Doha on his way back from a family vacation in Europe to meet with some friends and to officially inaugurate the new branch of Music Lounge in Abu Hamour, Doha, a press statement noted.
The inauguration was a private ceremony, featuring only the founding directors and parents of students at Music Lounge in Wakrah.
During the ceremony, Mohanlal cut the ribbon and then proceeded to meet the students and faculty in various classrooms, giving him an opportunity to see how the teachers conduct classes in real time at Music Lounge.
“I am very delighted to be at this inauguration. It was in 2013 that I inaugurated Music Lounge in Qatar for the first time in Wakrah. Taking into consideration the distance that the students need to travel, Music Lounge has opened a new chapter here in Doha. I wish everyone very good luck, let this be a wonderful institution,” he said.
The inauguration was held in the presence of Music Lounge chairman John Thomas, who was joined on stage by managing director Santhosh T Kuruvilla, director Jaisen George and sponsor Major Naser Darwish al-Meshadi. Co founder and brand ambassador Stephen Devassy conveyed his greetings and love to the audience and Mohanlal via a phone call made on stage.
After the inaugural speech, Thomas handed over a special memento to Mohanlal, who is also a Padma Shri awardee. The celebration included cutting of the cake on stage.
