Palestinian journalists gathering in Turkey strongly condemned the continued targeting of journalists in the Gaza Strip, while they are exercising their role in covering events.

In a press statement, the gathering considered targeting the headquarters of al-Aqsa TV and Sawt Al-Aqsa Radio in Gaza on Monday by Israeli warplanes without taking into account international laws that emphasize the freedom of press work and freedom of expression as a ‘heinous crime’.

The gathering called on fellow journalists around the world to join hands with Palestinian journalists.

The gathering also called for the need to provide international protection to journalists and to put an end to the series of targeting they are exposed to in full view of the world.

Moreover, it stressed that all these violations will not discourage them from continuing to saying the truth, wishing speedy recovery for all wounded colleagues and praising the professional, heroic and national performance of journalists in covering the march of return and all events on the Palestinian arena despite the deliberate Israeli crimes against them.
