The Ministry of Municipality and Environment urged the public to report any violations to the environment and wildlife. The ministry regretted the serious violations committed by companies which illegally disposed of cement.
The ministry thanked the person who reported the incident. The department concerned at the ministry took legal action and removed the cement.
The ministry reiterated that, in co-ordination with the authorities, it will not hesitate to take all legal action against violators. It added that it works around the clock to spot violations through environmental patrols in all areas.
The ministry also confirmed its keenness to raise awareness among individuals and companies and urges them to exercise their duty to society and the environment by preserving the country’s natural resources and the surrounding environment.
