Sanu notably holds the Guinness World Record for most songs recorded by any singer in 24 hours. He recorded 28 soundtracks.Talking to Community, Subramanya Hebbagelu, Vice President of Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), a community organisation affiliated with Indian Cultural Centre, said, “Sanu is a well-respected singer. He is very popular in South Asian countries especially where Hindi and Urdu is spoken and understood. He is popular for his 90’s romantic sound tracks.”“As a community representative, I see this concert a huge success as he’s all-time favourite singer of expatriates of South Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. The majority of expatriates in Qatar come from these countries and it is a good opportunity for them to enjoy their favourite sound tracks at a live performance. I think QNCC is a good place to organise such kind of concerts that are high on-demand. The venue is big enough to accommodate thousands of people. It is a very good initiative and I thoroughly support to have such live concerts of known Indian and South Asian singers in Qatar. The expatriates get a chance to listen to the live music.”He further said, “With Kumar Sanu’s Concert many people including me will get a chance to revisit their famous 90’s romantic soundtracks. We will be able to ask him to sing some of his known songs on demand as well. Many of his songs have been revamped for the younger generation and they love it, so millennials can also go to the concert and experience his live performance.”Organised by National Tourism Council, Shop Qatar’s activities offer special offers for the bargain-hunter, the style-savvy and the fashion-forward people. Shop Qatar, the country’s only nation-wide shopping festival, brings new features for the residents and the visitors to enjoy until January 20. Besides offering discounts and promotions, the festival’s 14 retail partners will also host exclusive entertainment and roaming mall shows for families and children.NTC noted that shoppers who spend QR200 at any of participating retailers will be eligible for a weekly raffle draw and a chance to win cars and cash prizes.According to NTC, more than 50 hotels across Qatar are having special offers throughout the festivity, including discounted room rates, promotions at food and beverage outlets, and health club services, as well as free airport transfers.
