Project Qatar 2019, which begins at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) Monday will host 15 international pavilions exhibition, specialising in construction and related industries.
The event being held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani is expected to draw 20,000 visitors.
Year on year, Project Qatar continues to attract the biggest global players in the construction market and provide unparalleled opportunities to secure deals with decision makers in the Qatari market. This edition is expected to be the most diverse to date, with over 500 exhibitors and 34 countries represented.
The countries represented at this year’s 15 official national pavilions include Algeria, Austria, Belgium, China, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Kuwait, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The pavilions offer brands and companies from the same national markets the opportunity to jointly introduce their services and products to the Qatari market.
Speaking on behalf of the event organisers, IFP Qatar, Haidar Mshaimesh, acting general manager said, “The international pavilions offer a central showcase for global and local companies to maximise exposure for their services, products, expertise, and technology, and it is also easier for buyers to locate key suppliers. The pavilions have long been one of the biggest contributors to the success of Project Qatar, and the increase in the number of international pavilions this year certainly promises a positive impact on Qatar’s construction sector.”
Considered Qatar’s largest exhibition for construction materials, equipment, and technology, Project Qatar is also the longest established event where global and local construction firms can showcase their latest services, products, and equipment, expand their market presence, and forge new business relations.
With hundreds of new exhibitors and brands participating, and a large number of expected visitors, several platforms have been introduced for visitors to navigate through the event sessions and exhibitions.
The ‘B2B Matchmaking Platform’ will facilitate exhibitors and visitors to directly meet qualified buyers, distributors, and decision-makers through one-on-one meetings, while the ‘Hosted Buyers Program’, sponsored by the National Tourism Council, will offer buyers a personalised diary to meet with leading suppliers from the sector of their choice and will include knowledge sessions and invitation-only networking events.
Dedicated product zones at Project Qatar are designed to highlight specific sectors and products within the industry. These zones include Heavy Max 2019, Qatar Stone Tech 2019, and “Smart District” showcasing Qatar’s Smart Nation Program and other innovations in smart applications in building, energy, and transportation.
More than 500 exhibitors from 34 countries including 350 international companies, more than 20,000 expected visitors, 25,000 square meters of exclusive showrooms featuring the latest and finest products and services, as well as accompanying events to cover the wider needs of the sector, and other features are elements that will make Project Qatar 2019 the premier business event in Qatar and the region.
