Armed Forces signs MoU with Naufar Rehabilitation Centre

The Qatar Armed Forces and Naufar Rehabilitation Centre of the Supreme Council of Health signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen co-operation between the two sides. Commander of Medical Services at the Qatar Armed Forces Major General (Sea) Nasser Mohamed al-Kaabi and Assistant Director General of Naufar Dr Khalifa al-Kuwari signed the MoU.Speaking on the occasion, Commander of Medical Services said that the signing of the MoU comes in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, as human development is one of the most important pillars of the vision, as well as the national health strategy of Qatar. He added that the MoU reinforces the role of the Armed Forces in the development of society in co-operation with ministries and state institutions. Naufar Centre, established by Amiri Decision No 17 of 2015, is the first specialised centre for the treatment and rehabilitation of addicts.The centre aims to provide the best level of treatment, rehabilitation, preventive, comprehensive care, and integrated community care, in addition to providing educational programmes and applied research for the patients of addiction, within the framework of the methodology adopted hospital resorts. Also, the centre seeks to enable people with addiction to achieve their desired better life and reintegrate into society, according to best practices and global standards in a healthy environment for recovery and with high privacy.
