Here is an interesting trivia for you. You may have noticed that sunsets usually appear in colours of yellow, orange, and red. The colour red particularly stands and that’s because red has the longest wavelength of any visible light – the sun is red when it’s on the horizon, where it’s extremely long path through the atmosphere blocks all other colours. But it’s not merely the science of colours that makes sunsets so peculiar, especially those in the desert lands. The emotions evoked by a sunset often depend on the place and time of your life – literally as well as figuratively. That is because the setting sun represents many things, and one of them is the passing of time. It could symbolise the end of a day, completion of a journey or perhaps even the concluding moments of a lifetime. In that respect, sunsets push us to think deeply and reflect on our lives.
Sunsets in Qatar can be fierce, bold, mesmerising, or even tranquil. The setting sun on a given day may appear differently to different people, depending upon their location. But we strongly recommend that the next time witness a sunset in Qatar, take a break from whatever you are doing and take a few moments to revel in its beauty and colours. The experience will leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenating.
