The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a closure on Al Gharrafa Interchange Bridge for traffic heading north towards Al-Duhail until Friday. The closure is to lay asphalt on the bridge.
Motorists heading north to Al- Duhail should use the two-lane traffic signal already opened at the interchange as shown on the map.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the changes on the road and requested them to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
Ashghal recently announced the full opening of Al-Gharrafa Interchange to traffic upon completion of the works to convert Al-Gharrafa Roundabout into a signalised junction. Ashghal also completed works to develop parts of the service roads on 22 February Street.
Opening of the interchange contributes significantly to improving traffic in a busy area. Al- Garrafa Interchange connects Doha with the northern areas of the country and provides easy access to the surrounding areas such Al- Luqta, Madinat Khalifa, Al- Messila and Al- Rayyan in addition to several services, educational, health, commercial and residential facilities.
