His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met on Monday with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his accompanying delegation at the residence of Qatar's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

 Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various aspects of co-operation, especially in the political and economic areas, to serve the interests of the two friendly people. Prime Minister Modi thanked the Amir for the good treatment of the Indian community in Qatar. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.

The meeting was attended by the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
