Leading hypermarket chain Safari Group held the grand opening of its fourth outlet on Wednesday in Al Khor.

The new hypermarket was inaugurated by HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Jassim al-Thani in the presence of Safari Group chairman Hamad Dafar A A al-Ahbabi, managing director Aboobacker Madappatt, director and group general manager Zainul Abideen, and executive directors Shaheen Backer and Shameem Backer.

The occasion also saw large crowds turn up at the hypermarket to make the most of the special promotions offered to mark the opening.

Situated on the main highway, the new hypermarket comprises four floors (three floors and a basement) and is spread over 193,000sq ft. The basement has a spacious car parking facility while the ground floor hosts the supermarket. The first floor has the department store while the second floor is for the food court.

The ground floor of the new branch includes products such as fruits, vegetables, fish and meat, among others. It has all kinds of fresh food products, from rice, spices and sweets to all kitchen requirements. In addition to food items, sections such as grocery, cosmetics, bakery and hot food are all located on the ground floor. Apart from Qatar’s local products, fruit and vegetables are being imported from various countries.

The department store offers a wide range of electronic goods and home appliances. A number of world-class brands are available and their products include household appliances, computers, computer accessories, mobile phones and digital cameras.

The department store also has a wide range of fabrics and footwear for children, women and men. In addition to luggage, there is a wide selection of sports equipment and toys.

The new outlet also has other amenities such as a money exchange, ATMs, pharmacy, beauty shops, mobile shops, optical shops and a travel agency, among others.
