Strengthening the national development directive through strategic partnerships, the organising committee of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex) has announced Commercial Bank as the main sponsor for its seventh edition (Dimdex 2020).The event is under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and hosted and organised by Qatar Armed Forces from March 16-18, 2020 at Qatar National Convention Centre. In an official ceremony at the Ministry of Defence and in the presence of HE the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, and Commercial Bank board member Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Attiyah, the agreement was signed by Khalifa al-Rayes, EGM Government, Public Sector and deputy head of Wholesale Banking at Commercial Bank and Dimdex chairman, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh al-Ansari. HE Lieutenant General (Pilot) al-Ghanem said: “Forging strategic support locally is vital to reflect the commitment towards Qatar National Vision 2030 and the implementation of long-term goals that will promote human and economic development towards a highly-advanced society.”Staff Brigadier (Sea) al-Ansari, said: “We are proud to welcome Commercial Bank as the main sponsor for Dimdex 2020. The support we get from national organisations allows us to deliver an event that will leave a positive impression among exhibitors and visitors, and we express our deep appreciation to Commercial Bank for their kind contribution.
