Qatar and Finland have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

The first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and Finland was held on Saturday in the Finnish capital of Helsinki.

The Qatari side was chaired by HE the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, while the Finnish side was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Foreign and Security Policy Carrie Jurgen.

During the round of political consultations, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries as well as issues of mutual interest.
