Qatar Charity (QC) has honoured school students with outstanding academic performance, many of their teachers and some ‘ideal’ families during a ceremony attended by parents, mediapersons and social media influencers.
The honouring of the students comes as part of the comprehensive social care, welfare and well-being provided by Qatar Charity to the ‘Future’s Leaders’ to encourage them to continue their performance, a statement notes.
At the ceremony, 63 students (both male and female) who performed very well academically during the 2018-2019 school year, received the honour. Besides, nine male and female teachers were honoured in recognition of their efforts in support of the students,while three families were also honoured for their leading educational roles.
The event also included a video clip on the activities and programmes implemented for the ‘Future’s Leaders’, an operetta titled ‘Vision of Education in Qatar’ by students of Qatar Primary School for Boys, a poem titled ‘Set a Goal’ by student Fathia al-Abdullah, and an operetta presented by Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development in Al Rayyan.
QC also honoured the supporter of the ceremony, Al Jazeera Medical Centre, host of the ceremony Mandarin Oriental, Doha, guest of honour Sheikh Ayesh al-Qahtani, Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development in Al Rayyan and Qatar
Primary School for Boys.
Jassim al-Emadi, director, Local Development Department at QC, expressed pleasure at celebrating the ‘Future’s Leaders’ who excelled in the 2018-2019 academic year, and the honouring of all those who contributed to these achievements.
Al-Emadi added that this honour would encourage them to continue with their excellent performance at school in order to become active persons and benefactors in future. He also thanked the families who contributed to this feat, the supporters of the ceremony, social media influencers and mediapersons who covered the event.
He also affirmed that QC would keep supporting the ‘Future’s Leaders’ to enable them to perform well continuously, praising the significant educational role of teachers in the students’
academic performance.
Mohamed Nasser al-Hajri, owner of Al Jazeera Medical Centre, expressed happiness at supporting the ceremony, emphasising that the centre would continue to support such good initiatives.
At the end of the ceremony, the mothers thanked QC for caring for their children, hoping that the support would continue to help them realise their dreams and aspirations.
