Qatar welcomes leaders to FIFA World Cup opening ceremony
Deputy Amir leads well-wishers to welcome Arab, Gulf leaders

His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani led the well-wishers to welcome a number of Arab and Gulf leaders and their accompanying delegations who arrived in Doha Sunday to attend FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony at Al Bayt Stadium.They included Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Representative of the Kuwaiti Amir Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. The Jordanian delegation also included Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and a number of ministers. The delegations were also welcomed, among others, by HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem al-Ali.
