The Qatar Stars League has released the schedule of 2020 Qatar Cup, where the top four clubs in the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League (Al Sadd, Al Duhail, Al Sailiya and Al Rayyan in that order) will compete.
The first semi-final between Al Duhail and Al Sailiya will be played on Friday, 10th January, and second semi-final featuring Al Sadd against Al Rayyan on Saturday, 11th January.
The final is scheduled for Friday, 17th January. All matches will be played at the Al Sadd Stadium. The kick-off is at 19:30 on all days. In the event of a tie between the teams at the end of regular time, there will be no extra time and penalty shoot-out will be straightaway enforced.

Tunisian striker Akaichi
Al Shahaniya Club has announced yesterday that it has signed Lebanon’s Al Ahed striker and AFC Cup 2019 winner Tunisian Ahmed Akaichi to strengthen the team’s ranks in the second part of Qatar Football League.
Ahmed Akaïchi is a Tunisian professional footballer who played as a striker for Lebanese Premier League club Al Ahed. Lebanon’s Al Ahed FC defeated 4.25 SC from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) 1-0 at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium and claimed the AFC Cup.
Talal al-Baloushi
announces retirement
Former Al Sadd star Talal al-Baloushi yesterday announced his retirement from football after many achievements throughout his career. At the beginning of the current season 2019-2020 al-Baloushi moved to Mesaimeer after he played for Al Markhiya last season.
Talal spent most of his illustrious career at Al Sadd where he won the 2011 AFC Champions League title and the bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup held in Japan the same year. This is an addition to the multiple domestic titles in his tally. He has won Qatari league, HH the Amir Cup and Heir Apparent Cup.
