HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari on Thursday launched the ministry's new website www.moph.gov.qa on the sidelines of the opening of the Qatar Health Conference 2020.

The new website is user-friendly, efficient and designed according to the latest international website standards and provides users with easy access to the ministry's services and information, according to a statement.

Redeveloped and launched in both Arabic and English, the website supports accessibility options for the colour blind, visually impaired, and special needs, in accordance with the relevant international standards.

Developing the website has been done in collaboration with Mada Center for Assistive Technology. The new version is compatible with all types of computer monitors and smartphones.

Dr al-Kuwari affirmed that the new website comes as part of MoPH’s keenness to promote accessibility of its services more effectively, especially as the National Health Strategy 2018-2022 offers a new approach by focusing on the health of population and integrated care.

This requires the MoPH website to keep pace with the significant and rapid progress in healthcare in Qatar, to strengthen effective use of communication mechanisms with the public, and information technology to support health.

The website offers access to a variety of MoPH services, including medical commission services, medical offices abroad, health facilities, services to healthcare professionals, pharmacy, governmental health communication centre, food safety and vaccinations.

The website is supported by an advanced search engine which can locate information and services easily, in addition to the’Media Center’ which highlights the latest MoPH news, events, announcements as well as health awareness.
