The Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution, HE Dr Mutlaq bin Majed al-Qahtani, met Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) secretary-general Thomas Greminger, on the sidelines of the Regional High-Level Conference held in Vienna in co-operation with the UN Counter-Terrorism Office (UNOCT) from February 11 to 12, under the title "Foreign Terrorist Fighters: Addressing Current Challenges."
The OSCE secretary general appreciated the good offices of Qatar in resolving many regional and international conflicts and its pioneering role and efforts in combating terrorism and extremism in co-operation with allies and international partners, especially in conflict areas, stressing the importance of co-ordinating regional and international efforts in this regard.
HE Dr Mutlaq bin Majed al-Qahtani underlined that the various problems and crises are resolved by the convergence of views through meetings and conferences, stressing the importance of OSCE and the aspiration of Qatar to enhance bilateral relations and partnership with it in the future.
