Wrestling superstars from around the globe enthralled thousands of residents and visitors in Doha Friday at Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW)'s Superslam 2 at Lusail Sports Arena, providing them with an action-packed entertainment in the ring.
Fans cheered for their favourite wrestlers as they sought to win prestigious titles as part of the event.
Local wrestlers from the Qatar Pro Wrestling Academy also took part in the event as a kick-off match, showcasing their talents in the international arena.
Some of the biggest and loudest cheers were for Indian wrestling legend The Great Khali as he entered the arena and told the crowd - "I love Qatar".













Other famous wrestling personalities who wowed the crowd included Kevin Nash, Mark Henry and 'Road Warrior' Animal, as well as favourites like Alberto del Rio, Rob Van Dam, PJ Black, Brian Cage, Nzo, Matt Sydal, Chris Raaber, Alofa, Caprice Coleman, Brian Pillman Jr, Apolo, Carlito, Chris Masters, Matt Cross, Johnny Storm, Jody Fleisch, Apolo Jr, Dos Caras, White Eagle, Tristan Archer and Mil Muertes.
Founded in 2013 in Doha, QPW is the first and only professional wrestling association in the Middle East. It brings superstar wrestlers from around the world to premiere in incredible wrestling shows with large-scale productions throughout the Arab world.
On the eve of the championship, a large number of fans had the chance to welcome and meet their favourite pro-wrestling superstars at a special event held at the Birds Island, Angry Birds World, Doha Festival City.
