The recently opened Premier Inn Doha Airport Hotel offers a package of services “catering to all tastes and needs, and is suitable for both leisure and business guests”.
Premier Inn, the largest hotel brand chain in the UK, partnered with Qatar’s Al Majed Group to open the hotel.
The Premier Inn brand aims to provide a “modern, high-quality product at an affordable price and in a great location”.
Premier Inn has given Qatar’s hospitality sector a “new attraction” with the opening of the 105-bedroom property, which is “prudently located” in proximity to Hamad International Airport.
“Qatar’s hospitality portfolio is predominantly occupied by an exceptional lineup of international luxury hotel brands. Premier Inn has set up a unique business model in the mid-market accommodation sector,” said Rajiv Tarcar, country general manager for Premier Inn Hotels.
“With our high-quality budget accommodation and excellent location, Premier Inn has ensured a consistent bedroom and F&B product that is in sync with the hotel’s high standards in their 70,000+ bedrooms across the world.
“Premier Inn’s success is built on our team members. They make sure guests enjoy a warm welcome and high standard of hospitality. Further, our guests are guaranteed that they are paying a fair price for their food, drink and bedroom, getting great value day in, day out.”
Premier Inn is located in the centre of Doha’s Old Town, at a prime location close to the Corniche and West Bay. Guests visiting for leisure or business can also discover some of Doha’s most popular attractions, such as Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and National Museum of Qatar, making use of the complimentary shuttle bus operating multiple times each day.
A key feature of the UK-based brand is its all-inclusive family room policy, which is aimed at providing “great value for money” for families.
Premier Inn is also known not to increase rates whether the room is booked as a single occupancy room, double occupancy or a family room.
The hotel’s ID4 bedroom design allows spacious family rooms accommodating up to two adults and two children, and perks of free stay for kids aged 15.
Apart from that, the breakfast is complimentary for kids under 15 years if accompanied by their parents paying for an adult breakfast.
Moreover, in line with Qatar’s growth and the recruitment and on-boarding of new professional expatriates coming to Doha, Premier Inn is a “firm favourite for their long-term stay”.
The locations of both Premier Inn hotels in Qatar — the new Premier Inn Doha Airport Hotel and Premier Inn Doha Education City — are next to transport hubs within walking distance to tram and Metro services, which is an attractive proposition for business guests.
Also, business guests can “admire the well-equipped meeting room facilities and business centre services along with free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel along with free onsite parking”.
“Our hotels are very popular with long-stay guests. These are guests who stay with us for a month or even as long as 4-6 months. It helps guests who are new to Doha find flexibility and manage their accommodation budget while not compromising on convenience or comfort. The guests see the hotel as a home away from home, and it helps them find a reliable first home when they first arrive while they pursue their house hunt in Doha,” added Tarcar.
As the country gears up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the need to provide high-quality budget accommodation in the 3- and 4-star hotel market is vital.
Eyeing the need of the hour, Premier Inn has developed both its hotels within the close vicinity of World Cup stadiums.
Both the Premier Inns — in Education City and the Old Airport area — are located close to stadiums that will host the World Cup (Education City Stadium and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, respectively).
With such strategic locations, the hotel chain aims to cater to the needs of international sports fans in addition to business guests, leisure guests, tour groups and new residents who arrive in the country.
