Alfardan Premier Motors Company, the official retailer of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in Qatar, secured two “top motoring accolades” at the second annual Golden Steering Awards.
Qatar’s leading automotive media, Arab Motors Middle East (AMME), in collaboration with Xtork magazine, recently hosted the ‘2020 Golden Steering Awards’.
The awards celebrated the best SUV and 4x4 vehicles available from different retailers across Qatar.
The competition this year judged several categories including large, luxury, mid-size and compact SUVs. AMME’s special test driving team dedicated time and expertise to test this year’s entries.
Assessed over a two-month period, every participating car underwent an extreme trial of performance and efficiency of its engine, suspension, and its latest technology.
Shortlisted vehicles then endured extreme test conditions and performance runs across different terrain ranging from rough trails to sand tracts and asphalt roads as they bid to top their respective categories for a coveted Golden Steering award.
Nabil al-Hassan, editor in chief, AMME said, “The Golden Steering Awards have become a yearly milestone celebrating the best of the SUV and 4X4 vehicle segments. This year we saw 16 models shortlisted for the top awards from various dealers across Qatar.”

Two stand-out winners at this year’s awards came from Alfardan Premier Motors. The superb Jaguar F-PACE SVR earned the title of ‘Best Performance Luxury SUV’, while the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition landed the ‘Best Mid-size Luxury SUV’ award.
