Visitors flock to the old port and the heritage city here to be part of numerous Eid al-Fitr activities, which also include trying traditional Arab cuisine at the elegant eateries.The pastel-coloured buildings are a big attraction to the visitors who can take a walk through the alleys to the shops and cafes. Mina District hosts several activities during Eid al-Fitr for a period of five days. Several popular bands perform while featuring the Arab artistic legacy and the marine folklore. The activities are held for various groups with the participation of roaming entertainment teams throughout the Mina District. Mwani Qatar has also arranged activities for kids."Mina District is a good place to bring our children in the evening, giving them some amazing moments to cherish. The place and its ambience are highly welcoming and we love to come here. There is celebration, life and positivity,” said one of the visitors Abdur Rahman.The newly opened Souq el Mina is selling traditional Arab clothes at fair prices. Also, the souq has outlets of international brands where visitors can buy souvenirs. The adjacent Box Park also hosts visitors while giving them a unique experience. Mina Majlis is another place of gathering where the art workshops can be enjoyed by the visitors while relishing the Arab architectural features of the heritage buildings here.Mina District also provides an opportunity for water sports in the evening by providing kayaks, paddle boards and marine bikes for rent. The Mina District has significantly contributed to the growth of the cruise sector in Qatar. The passenger terminal at Doha Port can accommodate up to 12,000 passengers per day. Mina District is located in the heart of Doha, minutes away from some of the city's most popular attractions including the Qatar National Museum, Doha Corniche and Souq Waqif.
