The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Friday announced 126 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 21 cases of recovery. This brings the total number of cases so far to 1075 and recoveries to 93. The number of active cases under treatment now is 979.
Some pf the new cases are related to travelers who came to the Qatar and others are infected from contacts. The new cases have been put into quarantine and are receiving the necessary medical care.
MoPH continues to work hard to increase the capacity of the central laboratories in order to conduct more number of daily laboratory tests, which will contribute to speeding up the results, the Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry also requested all members of society to cooperate fully and adhere to all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection.
