The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Friday announced the registration of 136 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and announced the recovery of 21 cases of the disease, bringing the total number of people recovered in the State of Qatar to 227 and total cases reported so far to 2512 and active cases to 2279. The deaths so far remains 6.
Some new cases are related to travelers who came to Qatar and others are those related to contacts. The new cases have been put into quarantine and are receiving the necessary medical care.
The Ministry of Public Health called on all members of society to stay at home and not go out except where absolutely necessary. MoPH also requested all members of society to cooperate fully and adhere to all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection, including sticking to social and physical distancing guidelines.
It also recommended that the public regularly visit the MoPH website to find out more advice about staying safe.??
