The Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) Department of Environmental Protection, Natural Reserves, and Wildlife announced on Tuesday that the project to protect the endangered hawksbill turtles is progressing well.
Until now, a total of 12 nests have been relocated to the protected nesting site at Fuwairit Beach in addition to caring for the turtles by removing barnacles and treating bruises.
All the necessary preventive and protective measures are being taken to guarantee the safety of the work team involved in the project, considering the prevailing conditions.
