The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management has received contributions from 201 businesses and 157 individuals, totalling QR74.2mn.
Apart from Qatar National Bank, the list of major financial contributors included names of Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al Bahr & Sons and Al Adekhar Real Estate.
Katara Hospitality Management, Aspire Zone and Urbacon Trading and Contracting are the major three real estate contributors. Qatar Foundation and Al Rayyan Restaurant Management are on the top of the list of service sector contributors.
The committee has received several contributions that stood below QR10,000 while real estate contributions were made by hotels, resorts and residential complexes. The committee has received contributions of workers housing and residential complexes.
“Individuals and businesses of all sizes have actively supported the efforts of Qatar to fight the novel ocronavirus (Covid-19) through financial, service and real estate sector contributions,” the website of Government Communication Office (GCO) said.
Moza Khaled al-Mohannadi, head of the Support and Contribution Initiative Committee had explained that 155 companies have expressed their readiness to contribute in support of the efforts to combat Covid-19.

Out of the total contributions, 45% are service sector contributors, 36% are financial contributors and real estate contributors constitute 19%.
The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management decided to create this platform to receive registration of contributions of individuals and companies after many individuals and institutions made contributions before launching the platform. The platform receives all financial, real estate and service contributions through a special account.
