The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has recorded violations by 11 companies operating in various sectors, such as trade, contracting, agricultural, irrigation, electrical and mechanical services, technical services, transportation, supplies and facilities management, at a residential location in the Al Kharra area.
In a statement, the ministry said the companies were not adhering to the precautionary measures, which is to reduce the population density in workers' housing facilities and provide a safe distance between workers when boarding or getting off buses, the official QNA reported yesterday.
Accordingly, the companies were referred to the security authorities for necessary action, QNA added.
This came in the context of the inspection campaigns carried out by labour inspectors of the MADLSA to ensure that companies adhere to the necessary precautionary measures.
The ministry has allocated the hotline, 4028-0660, to report violations of workers' housing requirements.
