The General Authority of Customs (GAC) chairman Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Jamal has launched the new website (www.customs.gov.qa) on Tuesday morning at his office.

He reviewed a presentation about the advantages of the new website and the information and services presented to the clients and partners, and the customs work in general.

The GAC website now has three main portals (Business, Passengers and Individuals, and Clearance Companies) for easy access to the related information and services by the users, besides many other additions and developments that will ease the process of e-transactions and getting the required information and data.

Al-Jamal pointed out that the launch of the new website is part of the GAC's continuous efforts to develop and advance its technical platforms and implement the strategic plan for 2018- 2022, including the full digitisation of its services and platforms.

This aims at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the GAC e-services, making them more accessible to the public. It also follows the directives of the government to adopt more e-services within the e-government system.

The GAC chairman thanked all the departments involved in the development of the website, in particular Information Technology, and Public Relations, in addition to the active co-operation of all the other departments.
