The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has processed and accomplished 711 transactions for the public during the first week of May through its hotline 137.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the MoJ had tweeted that these transactions and calls included legal inquiries and follow up inquiries about e-services applications.
Earlier, MoJ announced that it accomplished 8,228 transactions for the public since the start of May through its various e-platforms and external services centres.
Besides, more than 69,517 subscribers registered on the MoJ mobile app Sak as part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of the current circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic while offering the public all the necessary services without undermining the safety of all and strictly implementing the preventive and precautionary services.
The MoJ pointed out that services given to the public included real estate registration, authentications and another collection of 15 other transactions that was launched as e-services. However, the final stage of some procedures require the concerned person’s physical presence to sign due to the special legal nature of such documents and the need to verify the identity of those involved, such as ownership and the parties of the purchase or sale processes.
The MoJ also pointed out that during this period 2,888 real estate transaction were processed, including 2,685 through the Sak app. As many as 5,340 registration applications were also all processed through.
The MoJ app and e-platforms have successfully accomplished most of the essential public transactions with minimal need to visit the service centres.
