Teachers and students across the country stand to benefit from Qatar Museums (QM)’s expanded Culture Pass membership programme, which provides educational training opportunities and access to an array of online initiatives and activities for free.
Culture Pass, which offers its members a full programme of curated benefits, serves as a gateway to explore culture, art and heritage.
These include free unlimited admission to a wide range of museums and galleries, exclusive invites to a host of tours, talks and workshops, and discounts at selected cafes, restaurants, and gift shops.
The two new tiers, in addition to various existing benefits, will bring added support to both teachers and students in Qatar, QM said in an e-mail to Culture Pass members yesterday.
The benefits have been expertly curated to offer exciting and semi-exclusive access to QM cultural experiences, masterpiece collections, and one-of-a-kind educational events, QM said in a press statement.
The “Culture Pass Teachers” tier will offer teachers unique educational training opportunities and the chance to expand their cultural knowledge, according to QM.
Teachers will have access to one Culture Pass arranged tour, one organised workshop, and a chance to attend Exhibition Training Tours, Local Artists’ Workshops, Teachers Teaching Teachers Programme, and invitations to be part of the Teachers’ Council and the Executive Teachers’ Council.
Supporting this programme of events and activities are an extensive range of discounts and offers at many restaurants and cafes in Qatar.
Culture Pass Teachers’ members will get a 10% discount at QM gift shops, IN-Q online, and Cass Art Qatar, in addition to discounts to QM ticketed exhibitions.
The Culture Pass Students tier, which is open to students aged between 16 to 25, will offer greater access to the wide programme of events provided by QM.
This membership allows students to register for development platforms such as Museum of Islamic Art Infinite Programme, and invites them to apply to the QM Internship Programme and volunteering opportunities with the Public Programme’s Team.
They will also benefit from priority registration to Student Arts Workshops and Artists Talks.
Culture Pass Students’ members will also receive the same 10% discounts at QMs gift shops (physical and digital) and will enjoy complimentary access to one Culture Pass tour and one Culture Pass workshop.
“The programme is a testament to our ongoing commitment to enhancing and enriching the Qatar’s educational landscape.
“Under the guidance of our chairperson, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, we’ve curated a selection of additional benefits for Culture Pass Teachers, and Culture Pass Students, that we know this particular demographic will love and use,” said Khalod Abdulzaiz al-Mannai, deputy director of Learning and Outreach.
Other benefits given to Culture Pass members include access to exclusive VIP exhibition openings, private tours through QM galleries, invites to members’ workshops, 10% hire discount for selected corporate venues (excluding MIA), Culture Pass Newsletter, and access to QM’s world-class call centre from 8am-8pm daily.
