As part of this, all patients and their companions/guardians and visitors will be screened prior to entry into Sidra Medicine. They have to undergo a temperature check, answer a set of basic questions and are required to show the status of the Ehteraz app on their smartphone, according to information available on the Sidra Medicine website and Twitter account.
Inpatients and companions/guardians staying with them at the hospital will be tested for Covid-19 before admission. Only one chosen companion is allowed per female patient, while only two designated guardians/adults are permitted per paediatric patient, the website says.
Inpatients will be advised regarding the testing procedures prior to the admission process.
