A number of the representatives of the participating farms have told local Arabic daily 'Arrayah' that the majority of the produce on display at the yards are farmed in climate-controlled greenhouses, with the exception of limited number of types such as watermelons and sweet melons. The recently reported prices include QR20 each for a big box of tomatoes or cucumber, QR10 for a small box of capsicum of different colours, QR10 each for a box of onions or zucchini, QR13 for a box of eggplant, and QR25 for a box of potatoes.
