* 3,537 workers also return to India on company-chartered flights

Two more flights were operated from Qatar on Thursday as part of the Indian repatriation mission.

Flight IX 1374 took off from Doha's Hamad International Airport (HIA) for Kozhikode with 177 passengers and seven infants, the Indian embassy tweeted.

Then, flight IX 1676 took off from HIA for Trichy with 176 passengers and three infants.

These marked the 23rd and 24th flights, respectively, from Doha under the Vande Bharat Mission, "bringing the total number of repatriated passengers to 4,036 plus 120 infants", the embassy said.

In addition to the 24 Vande Bharat Mission flights, the Indian embassy also tweeted on Thursday that it has been able to facilitate 20 company-chartered flights from Doha till date, for workers to return to India.

A total of 3,537 workers were able to return to India on such company-chartered flights, the tweet explained.
