HE the Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi has stressed that Qatar will transfer its grant to Gaza within this week or next.
He said that the delay was due to the procedures to combat the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), dismissing reports that the State purposely delayed the transfer of funds, or that they were blocked by the Israeli side.
He also dismissed reports in the media that the value of the money transferred was $50mn, stressing that Qatar will continue its efforts to support the Palestinian people generally, and people in Gaza in particular.
