General Secretary of Qatar Football Association (QFA) Mansoor al-Ansari is participating in the conference of General Secretaries of the West Asian Football Federation’s (WAFF) members, which will end today, with representation from all five Asian regions, according to the specific dates of each region.
The conference, held via video technology, aims to ensure that all WAFF’s members and regional federations have the opportunity to benefit from WAFF’s resources, expertise and programs and to further enhance positive participation.
The conference is an extension of the annual programme specifically designed for general secretaries, and for the first time this year it will include the senior leadership of the Asian regional federations as part of efforts to foster a spirit of partnership within the Asian football family.
The meeting will also touch on the latest developments in the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as its impact on Asian competitions and football management in general. Throughout the conference, general secretaries will have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in football management, especially regarding fighting match-fixing in light of the spread of the Coronavirus, which will be presented by Sportradar, AFC’s strategic partner.
The conference began on June 4 with the participation of general secretaries from the central and southern regions of Asia in a series of four divisions of the five geographical regions of the Asian continent.
