The Civil Aviation Authority on Wednesday issued guidelines for health and safety in aviation, in co-operation with the competent authorities in the Ministry of Public Health, as part of the plan for the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed in Qatar due to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The authority clarified, in a statement, that the effort targets operators and service providers in the state, and those involved in the civil aviation industry.
It aims to provide them with guidance on how to facilitate the safe and gradual recovery of air traffic flow management and the consequent increase in passenger transport.
It added that the publication is in line with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regarding the resumption of aviation activity as an essential step at the international level to confront the coronavirus epidemic.
The guidelines included a set of health measures related to those approved by the Ministry of Public Health, to ensure effective mitigation of risks related to the coronavirus and compliance with public health requirements.
