The Qatar football national team yesterday concluded its training camp at Aspire, that had begun on June 12. The camp was held for the first time, since the the suspension of football due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
The camp took place in co-ordination with league teams. 
The 34 players trained in small groups in line with the health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Public Health and other authorities to contain the coronavirus. The coaching staff led by head coach Felix Sanchez worked on improving the players’ fitness level.
The players were divided into separate group to maintain safe distancing, which is one of the precautionary measures required by the Ministry of Public Health. 
The team also held tactical sessions in addition to group training.
A total of 34 players took part in the training in preparation for the 2023 Asia Cup qualifiers. Qatar, who are in in Group E, will meet India and Bangladesh on October 8 and 13 respectively. Sanchez’s men than take on Oman on November 12.
President of Qatar Football Association HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani thanked the coaching staff and the players for their commitment during the training camp. The players will now return to their clubs for the resumption of Qatar Stars League from July 24.
