Led by HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari, key figures of the Qatari health sector - including medical and administrative staff - have congratulated the people of Qatar on Eid al-Adha and stressed the importance of adhering to Covid-19 prevention guidelines.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) published a series of posts in this regard on social media Wednesday.
"As Eid al-Adha will soon be upon us, we advise all to adhere to the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Public Health to prevent an increase in cases during the Eid season and protect our at-risk communities," said HE Dr al-Kuwari.
Dr Saad al-Kaabi, chairman of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)'s System Wide Incident Command Committee (SWICC) for Covid-19, reminded the public to continue to abide by, and never compromise on the precautionary measures in place (to curb the spread of Covid-19).

from Covid-19 and promotes adherence to the precautionary measures against the virus in Qatar.
Mohamed al-Naimi, director of HE the Minister of Public Health's office, stressed the importance of maintaining physical distance by leaving a gap of at least 1.5m between people.
Dr Mariam Abdulmalik, managing director of the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), said: "We encourage everyone to maintain a safe physical distance (at least 1.5m) between you and others, wear a face mask, wash your hands regularly or use a hand sanitiser while in public places."
Dr Ahmad al-Mohamed, medical director of Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, HMC, advised that there is no need to wear a mask while exercising outdoors.
Fatima Haidar, chief human resources officer at HMC, reiterated that a maximum of 80% of staff can resume work at their workplace (in Phase 3 of the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions), with 20% continuing to work from home.
Nasser al-Naimi, deputy chief of Quality, director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute - HMC, stressed that social gatherings during Phase 3 are limited to 10 people indoors and 30 outdoors.
Dr Hanadi al-Hamad, medical director of Qatar Rehabilitation Institute - HMC, said: "Individuals aged 60 years and above are advised to avoid social gatherings as much as possible."
Dr Abdullatif al-Khal, co-chair of the National Pandemic Preparedness Committee and HMC's head of Infectious Diseases, noted that "the Covid-19 pandemic will continue to recede as long as people adhere to the precautionary measures in place (to curb the spread of the virus)".
"Make sure to protect your loved ones who are elderly and suffering from chronic diseases," added Dr Hamad Eid al-Romaihi, Health Protection and Communicable Diseases manager at the MoPH.
Hassan Majed al-Jassim, ED - Hospitality, Hamad Medical Corporation, said: "Adhering to thermal screening, checking of the Ehteraz app 'green' status and wearing face masks are still necessary to enter public spaces."
"Make sure you seek health information from reliable sources only, and refrain from sharing information from unreliable sources. Safety is everyone's responsibility," advised Nayef al-Shamari, acting ED - Media, HMC.
